Fundraising That Builds Skills, Community, and Opportunity

Donut Drive & Thrive

What is Donut Drive & Thrive

Donut Drive & Thrive is a student-centered fundraising experience produced by Eat Donuts Stock Schools (EDSS) that brings together students, schools, local businesses, and community supporters around one shared goal:

creating opportunity through participation. It’s a professionally managed event where students lead, communities show up, and schools benefit.

Small, intentional actions create meaningful outcomes.

Why it Works Better

Supporting students works best when it’s clear, well-organized, and community-driven.

Donut Drive & Thrive succeeds because it’s built on:

  • Thoughtful planning and oversight
  • Meaningful student involvement
  • Trusted local partnerships
  • Transparent funding and execution

Each event creates a shared experience where everyone knows how they’re helping — and why it matters.

Typical Event Breakdown

Each Donut Drive & Thrive event is funded through community and local business sponsorships, allowing student-led fundraising to directly support schools.

Community & Business Support

Local businesses and supporters help fund event operations through sponsorship packages, while local bakeries may contribute donuts, pastries, or certificates.

These contributions allow EDSS to manage:

  • Permits and logistics
  • Inventory and setup
  • Marketing and promotion

When events are fully supported, students can focus on leading — and schools can focus on impact.

Student-Led, Professionally Guided

Where Student Initiative Meets Proven Structure

Students play an active role in Donut Drive & Thrive while being guided by EDSS and school faculty.

Students may help with:

  • Sales and customer engagement
  • Order fulfillment
  • Event setup and breakdown

Faculty serve as liaisons, ensuring transparency and alignment, while EDSS provides structure from start to finish.

This balance allows students to gain real-world experience in a supportive environment.

Event Scale & Investment

Producing a Donut Drive & Thrive event typically requires $5,000–$7,500, covering:

  • City permits and venue reservations
  • Donuts, pastries, and certificates
  • Marketing and operations
  • Event logistics and oversight

Because these costs are funded in advance, student fundraising goes directly back to school needs.

Clear structure leads to greater trust — and stronger outcomes.
